Christian David Ginsburg, The Massorah: Compiled from Manuscripts (London, 1880-1904). All four volumes of Ginsburg's massive work are shown sequentially in this item, in order to ease online browsing and cross-referencing.
The four volumes of Ginsburg's work are as follows:
- The first volume contains numbered masoretic rubrics listed alphabetically by their Hebrew roots under the letters א through י (pages 1-763 within the full item).
- The second volume contains numbered masoretic rubrics listed alphabetically by their Hebrew roots under the letters כ through ת (pages 764-1482 within the full item). At the end of the volume the masoretic notes on the bible are reprinted in full according to the first printed edition (Venice 1524-1525) along with the letters and numbers of their rubrics in volumes 1-2, thus providing a biblical index to the masorah as a whole (pages 1483-1538 within the full item). This is followed by a full alphabetical list of the masoretic notes which appear as rubrics in volumes 1-2 (pages 1539-1599 within the full item).
- The third volume contains supplementary masoretic material from additional manuscripts (pages 1600-1931 within the full item). There is an alphabetical list at the end of the volume (pages 1932-1988 within the full item).
- The fourth volume contains a commentary in English on the rubrics listed in the first volume under the letters א through י (pages 1989-2537 within the full item).
